This Pop-Arc workshop will introduce students to the process of making physical objects using digital design and fabrication tools. Participants will learn how tools such as CNC machines, 3D printers and Industrial Robots are applied to fields ranging from design to sci-fi films.
This workshop will resonate with students interested in art, industrial design, and architecture. Students will work both collaboratively and individually towards the construction of complex physical objects. Conducted by the faculties of Southern California Institute of Architecture (SCI-Arc), this is a unique opportunity for Indian Students.

This Pop-Arc workshop invites students to dive into the world of Design by
a) Introducing participants to the process of making physical objects using digital design and fabrication tools.
b) Learning how tools such as CNC technologies, 3D printing, and industrial robots are applied in the field of design.
c) Experiencing design thinking and fabrication while gaining a unique perspective by engaging in the protocols and mechanics of these tools, machines become platforms of collaboration rather than mere execution.
This workshop will resonate with students interested in art, industrial design, and architecture and is intended to introduce ideas of contemporary design within the context of a lively studio environment. Students will work both collaboratively and individually towards the construction of complex physical objects.
The work produced during POP-Arc will be exhibited at the Bengaluru ByDesign festival collocated at the Bengaluru International Centre, but also will become a center-piece for students’ evolving portfolios suitable for college applications.
